Black Flat Handle with Logo
The black handle is the most common. This was selected for here as it has a Wiss logo on the front. The pictures in the 1915 catalog still show the name and city stamped on the front. This would be a later addition. This one has a 5/8" notched blade. It passed through eBay in June 2010.

Style G - White Bead Handle
It appears in the catalogs: 1907 page 45 and 1915 page 58. The razor comes in the original box. There are some small nicks and a small chip at the end of the blade. Some spots on the blade. The scales look real good, have a great patina, no cracks, a few minor surface scratches and a small chip on the underside of scale where the blade goes in (see pic). The blade is 5/8" with Very Thin Concave. This is the only razor in my collection. Bought on eBay April 2011. Others passed through eBay in February 2008, December 2008, October 2010, and March 2011.

The Wiss Sure Comfort was usually sold with a flat black handle. This appears to be an upgraded handle. The tang has the Wiss logo. This item passed through eBay in February 2011.

Wiss Sure Comfort Razor Black Handle
The stamping on this Wiss Sure Comfort Razor is not all visible but the black scales are clean, free of chips and cracks and the pins, blade, shank, fluting and tang are also clean and shiny. The fluting is on both the under and upper parts of the shank and is very apparent on both sides and especially deep on the top of the shank. The blade measures 3" by 5/8" and the overall length is 6 5/8". The back of the blade is plain. The shank shows "J. Wiss & Sons, Newark NJ" The razor has been on a shelf for approximately 30 years and the blade will need to be honed and smoothed.
